Photo # 4 | Photo Assignment

Something good must be coming my way, I mean besides what I already have since having Liam, I always feel good & lucky, but something must be coming. Within the last three days, I have found seven lady bugs, not one or two, seven! All around my home, creeping on the curtains, outside on the windows. Everywhere I look they are there. Ladybugs are suppose to be good luck, so keep them coming.


Last week, I had a midterm in one of my many math classes I am taking. I was pretty nervous, seeing in how math has never been a strong subject for me back when I was in high school, but something must of changed because yesterday I got my mark and it was...an A+! (48/50) *Must be those lady bugs!


Overall, school as been going well for me, & photography has been treating me great! Just wanted to give ya'll an update :) I'll leave you with a photo of some lavender I took in my front yard a few weeks ago.

Photo # 3 | Photo Assignment

My thoughts right now are, rain, rain, go away! Nova Scotia had a late (& short) summer, and now just a rainy fall. I do enjoy rain, I love hearing it as I begin to fall asleep, or just picking Liam up, and running outside, jumping in puddles, & the smell of it and pavement afterwards. But ..with the amount of rain we have been getting, it is really not making me what to enjoy though puddles anymore. Soo please, go away for maybe two days please!

I got together with some friends yesterday for a family/engagement session! Turned out soo nice, I can't wait to show you all the photos. I ended up being an 30 minutes early, so while I was waiting, I played around, which is what the next photo is going to be!

Beautiful yellow flower! I love flower, I would do anything to have a marco lense right about now!

Photo Assignment

These past couple of weeks I have been lacking in the photo department. I have just been really busy with school assignments, and with Herman doing side jobs, I have to devote all my time between school work and playing with Liam, (honestly, no better way to spend my day than playing with trucks and cars and balls, man i love my son!). So I would keep up with it, I decided to give myself a photo a day assignment. The way I'll do this is snap some photos around my house, or in the yard when were outside, or on our travels to the park! Edit at night while the little man is sleeping (hopefully I have no homework to catch up with ;) ) than I PLAN on posting that night or the next day! I'm working towards 30 photos, arranging from anything and everything! I am excited to see what I come up with.

Other another note, I have some portrait sessions coming up & I couldn't be more excited! I am just counting down the days until I meet with the clients and get everything started. Also this week, my good friend Christine and I are going out to take some fall photos, and do some portraits of each other for our websites!!

Since it is a photo blog, I'll post photo #1 of the 30 day assignment!:)

Herman and I went out one night to dartmouth to take some photos, and we captured some from the Dartmouth Waterfront of Halifax! Sooo Beautiful. I love Halifax.

Who is Quentina Mae?

I never really gave an introduction about myself, and I figured, now is the time. For people to understand someone, and enjoy someone, you need to know a little about a person right? Well, here are some facts about me.

1. I was born Halifax, Nova Scotia, & have lived here my whole life.

2. I am a July baby :)

3. My Favoriate color is Purple.. as been since I was...5?!

4. I have a baby boy named Liam, he is 14 months old, and BUSY BUSY BUSY!!!

5. I have been with my finance, Herman for 7 1/2 years.

6. I am a Business Student at Saint Mary's University

7. Photography is my dream career.

8. I love high heels.... adore, drool, about them :)

9. I have a huge nail polish collection. Love bright colors!

10. I bought my first home when I was 19.

11. I am crazy about organization! Post-its, Schedules, Calenders..my loves!

12. I'm crazy about time.. always 15-20 minutes early. An OCD thing lol

13. The Twilight Saga is my love! I have read those books soo many time, I could probably re-write them. Edward Cullen is amazing!

14. I'm a huge blog stalker. Jasmine Star & Stephanie Fay are my idols..

15. I love the heat. The warmer, the better.

16. I eat tomatoes like apples.!

17. I could wear flip-flops all year along, even in the snow!

18. I love tattoos. I have 6, and plan on getting more.

21. I have a crazy sweetooth, and I have NEVER had a cavity! Sour Patch kids...yummy!

Life

It has been quite a while since I did a post, I feel so bad.

My life has just been soo busy with Liam, and School. I had a midterm on my birthday..(yuck). and I have a math midterm coming up that I have been studying and preparing for. Since I am in business at SMU, I am trying to get the best marks I can so anything business related, I cut myself off from the world and just study!Math, being one of those courses.

My birthday ended up bring a great day! The weather wasn't that great, although it was hot, there was no sun! :( I did get wonderful gifts though! One from Herman and Liam, a new camera Lense... 55-200mm :) Soo excited! I have already been out using it, and I am really enjoying it. Also my parents in law got me a Willow Tree ornament that I have started collection. I absolutely love it. & I also received a gift from Marcel of a photo that I took for inspirtation! Couldn't have asked for more....(well..maybe I could of asked to have that mid term a different day..lol).

School

Before I decided to go back to school, I never realized how much work comes with it. I think my thoughts were..... "hey, go back to SMU, take business, and have more opportunities" Well... ha ha, I wish I would of thought about every other little detail first. Don't get me wrong, I am more than happy about being back in school, but all that homework, wow... just not my cup of tea. (especially since I don't even like tea..lol ) I am just not a paper writer. I have been lucky so far on taking classes where there are no papers, but I got one this semster, and it is a big paper. Oh well... I just keep thinkin...I'll be happy when I am done and I pass :)

On other news, I have a couple of shoots coming up with some lovely friends! They are being absolutley amazing, and being models for me to just get out there and shoot, shoot, shoot. Also, my good friend Jenna, has been helping me with desiging my business cards and logo for my photos :) Sooo excited! I'll keep you posted on that, and im sure my logo will be popping up on some photos soon!

Well.. its about that time, I can hear my bed calling me! Can't wait until my head hits the pillow.

Bath time!!

Something I was trying out today... didn't turn out how I planned, but I wanted to show ya'll anyways!!

Point Pleasant Park

Thursday was my day out. Day to breath, Day to relax, not think about anything else that was going on, just me. Herman was home with Liam, so I knew he was fine, so I had no other worries on my mind. I decided to go for a little drive with my cousin (and best friend) Marcel, to point pleasant park. I have only been there once since hurricane juan, and I must say, I miss walking the trails in that park. It is sooo beautiful, and peaceful. Lots of runners, lots of families. You could tell everyone was happy to be there, and the fact that they have a Pinky's Ice Cream Stand... (yumm.. I'm a sucker for Ice Cream), made my evening that much better.


I took a couple pictures alone my adventure, so I'll end my loving day out with those :)

It has been a couple days since I blogged, and I am writing to write one everyday, but with Liam and figuring out school stuff, my time gets all busy! So even though I should be in bed right now, I wanted to share how my weekend and day was :)

Weekend was great, Herman and I had a wedding to go to on Saturday. His cousin Marty got married to his long time girlfriend, Christa. And did she ever make a beautiful bride. Dress, Hair, Shoes, everything, perfect! Only sad part, is I didn't get to take any pictures. We left, and went to the hotel to wait for them, and did not know if they were still in public garden or go else where to take photos, so I missed out. To make the night a bit better, I ended up catching the bouquet, and Herman caught the garter :) Looks like a wedding in the near future?

Other news, Shauna and I planned our birthday event today! Party Bus to celebrate our "champange" birthdays :) Will definitely be a good time, having all our closet friends around.

Well, I am off to bed.. Got an early day tomorrow! & I'll end it with a couple photos!
